From Conversation to Conversion: How to Turn Customer Questions into Marketing Content with AI
You don't need a marketing agency to know what to post. You just need to listen to your customers.

You don’t need a marketing agency to know what to post. You just need to listen to your customers.
Whether it’s “Do these come in grey?” or “Is triple glazing really worth it?”, the questions customers ask during quotes, surveys and site visits are pure gold. They show exactly what people care about and what others are likely wondering too.
But here’s the thing: most installers never do anything with that insight. The questions are answered in the moment, maybe jotted down once or twice, then forgotten.
This month’s column shows you how to use free or low-cost AI tools to capture those questions and turn them into social posts, website FAQs, or marketing content. No writing from scratch, no guesswork, just a better way to reuse what you’re already saying every day.
Why Customer Questions Are Better Than Any Marketing Brief
Real questions are:
- Based on what your actual customers are confused about
- Often repeated, meaning they’re relevant to future enquiries too
- Great triggers for useful, helpful, human-sounding content
When your next customer sees a post or webpage that answers their exact question before they’ve asked it, you build trust and save yourself time.
Step 1: Capture the Questions (Without Writing Anything)
There are several easy ways to gather questions:
- Use AI Note-Takers – If you’re using Zoom or Teams for sales or survey calls, tools like Fathom, Fireflies, or Otter can automatically capture the call and highlight questions asked. Fathom even labels questions separately, so you can copy and paste them into ChatGPT.
- Use GlazingBot – If you’re using GlazingBot on your website, you already have a log of the exact questions homeowners are asking before they even speak to you. These are ideal for turning into FAQs and social content, especially as they reflect early-stage buying concerns.
- CRM Notes or Quote Emails – Look at recent quote replies or CRM history and pull out any “Can you confirm…” or “Do you offer…” types of messages
- Site Visit Debriefs – After a job or survey, jot down the 1–2 things the homeowner seemed unsure about
You don’t need loads. Even 10–15 questions are enough to generate weeks of content.
Step 2: Group and Sort the Questions
Once you have your list, try to group them into themes:
- Product-specific – colours, security, energy ratings
- Process – install time, lead times, access, payment
- Comparisons – aluminium vs uPVC, double vs triple glazing
- Design decisions – handle colour, openings, layouts
This helps you batch content (e.g. “Product Week”) or build FAQ pages by section.
Step 3: Use ChatGPT to Generate Content
Now paste the questions into ChatGPT and use a GLASS prompt like this:
Goal: Turn these customer questions into simple, clear marketing posts and FAQ entries Listener: Homeowners who are researching or waiting for their install Action Format: 1-paragraph answer per question, plain text, suitable for website or social post Style: Friendly, helpful, non-salesy Specifics: These are common questions from real customers. Use everyday language and aim to reassure or inform.
Example
Question: “Is triple glazing really worth the extra cost?”
ChatGPT Output:
Triple glazing can be a smart upgrade, especially if you're looking to improve insulation and reduce noise. It costs more than standard double glazing, but the benefits can add up; lower heating bills, quieter rooms, and a more comfortable home overall. It’s not essential for every property, but if you're already upgrading, it’s worth considering.
You now have:
- One full social media post
- An FAQ entry for your website
- A possible sales reply to save in your CRM
Repeat for 10+ questions and you’ve got a content bank ready to go.
Step 4: Post It, Reuse It, Automate It
Once you’ve created the content, you can:
- Schedule it to your Facebook or Instagram using tools like Buffer or Meta Business Suite
- Add it to your quote follow-up emails or customer pack
- Use it to train ChatGPT on your brand tone, so future messages stay consistent
Optional: Ask ChatGPT to convert each answer into:
- A post with headline + emoji + call to action (if that’s your style)
- A short video script you can film for Reels or TikTok
- A PDF handout for “Top 10 Customer Questions”
Why This Is So Effective
- It’s content you didn’t have to invent
- It matches what people are already searching and asking
- It builds trust without hard selling
- It saves time in future quotes and emails
- It costs nothing but a few minutes and a decent prompt
